Customer Rating: Summary: Food and Medicine Comment: This book was recommended to me by a friend who had relied upon it when she was living in Africa with her young child, and therefore was more self-reliant than many living in the United States when it came to health care and wellness. I've scanned the book and I think it will be equally useful for me. It is well-organized, which makes it easy to use as a source of information on an occasional basis. I recommend it to those who are interested in identifying foods that address specific health problems, instead of relying exclusively on pills and prescriptions.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great book. Print too small on this copy Comment: I read this book and thought it was so good I bought a copy for my business partner. The print was so small it was virtually illegible for our middle age eyes.
Customer Rating: Summary: one of the best health books ever! Comment: This book is so fantastic, it really teaches you how food can be your medicine, its very easy to read. I like this book much better than the YOU books.
Customer Rating: Summary: Food: Your Miracle Medicine Comment: Jean Carper in her book, "Food: Your Miracle Medicine" is a must read for anyone for anyone interested in curing themself by natural means. By the addition of certain foods and diet changes, I have been able to ease migraine headaches, lower cholestol, eliminate heartburn, and improve digestion. 3 cheers for Jean Carper!
Customer Rating: Summary: HANDY DO IT YOURSELF HEALING Comment: I enjoy New Age books that leave out the doctor. This one is
perfect because it's so sensible. You can look up any problem
you have and find out the foods to rectify same, constipation,
arthritis, etc. There's no reason people should be obese in
this day and age. One should not live to eat but eat to live,
and this book proves that perfectly since food is necessary to
keep the body and brain and spirit in good working order. That
can only happen when you know what to eat. Excellent!
