Molly Fox's Yoga: Yoga Moves presents an unconventional workout that combines the fluidity of yoga with the invigoration of aerobic movement. Instructor Molly Fox has crafted this 50-minute workout around the body's full range of motion. Traditional yoga techniques such as breathing and alignment are explored, while dance-like choreography increases the heart rate. The session begins with sun salutation, which allows the body to acclimate to the movements that are yet to come. Following the warm-up are five separate aerobic routines that Fox has named after seasons and nature. This ensemble is creative and different from other workout programs. The steps are similar to interpretive dance moves and they encourage expression while using the major muscles. Some familiar movements like lunges and knee lifts are found here, but the majority of this workout includes combinations that are not seen in most aerobic formats, offering diversity for anyone who is bored with the commonplace cardio moves. Fox suggests that this workout can be done with or without tennis shoes, and the impact is variable. Customer Rating:      Summary: Aerobics w/touch of jazz dance repeititve stretching Comment: It starts with 5-6 sun salutations for those who already know them. The rest is done by "season" & is more about a few well-known stretches done very repetitively for each season. Since this is from an older VHS from the 1990s with a stark, bright with a triangle & sun shapes w/Molly alone, these moves are very passe. I found it boring to watch, it was like a really long warm-up.
This is only for those who don't mind repetition & warm-up low-impact, semi-relaxed paced aerobics workout.
Customer Rating:      Summary: Spacy Comment: This one is not for me. I found the instructor a bit too well, spacy for lack of a better word. I'm sure if one can do it then its probably good for you but there is no breadown of the movements and its too repetitive. I'll try to persevere for a week or so more...if not meet me at the marketplace and you can have it!
Customer Rating:      Summary: Stay away if you have knee problems!! Comment: This workout is extremely boring. Molly Fox repeats the same routines over and over again--you will be thoroughly tired of Sun Salutation. My knees aren't the best ever, so this workout which is heavy on bending exercises is too much. If you have knee problems from running, jogging or weights-- stay clear of this tape-- it won't really help you while you're recuperating.
