Your child can pedal to help you along, or just coast and enjoy the scenery. Either way it's fun for both of you. Sturdy construction - just like a regular 20" bicycle with regular handlebars, seat and pedals. Attaches easily and quickly to almost any bicycle with a seatpost, and folds up for storage when not in use. And it even comes with a safety flag to alert motorists. The Co-Pilot is great for the whole family, nothing says togetherness like a family bike ride! Features quick release system for fast and easy attach/detach. Co-pilot can either pedal or coast. Summary: Lots of room for Quality Improvements!
Comment: During assembly of this bike trailer, it was clear that there was room for quality improvements:
- four screws and bolts to attach it to the main bike instead of a quick release requires 5 to 10 minutes and you better carry the necessary tools on your ride.
- Precision was lacking: the seat post could not slide into the frame even when enormous pressure was applied; the hinge that allows folding the trailer for easy transportation and storage is poorly constructed.
I did not bother taking this trailer out for a ride, returned it instead and lost a few dollars in shipping cost. At REI we found a bike trailer - Novara Afterburner - with everything the Weeride is missing. Check out the Novara Afterburner at an REI near you; your kid(s) will thank you.

Summary: VERY DISAPPOINTING...UNSAFE. POOR QUALITY.
Comment: We were very disappointed with this bike trailer. My husband (who has an engineering degree and is very mechanical) spent about 2 hours trying to get the hitch bolts to fit together properly. He filed and used a lot of WD40. After finally getting the thing together, it worked okay, but I didn't think it was safe for our 6 year old. Very poor quality control and construction. Not worth the money! We ended up returning it to Amazon.com. We plan to buy a different brand.

Summary: Reasonable but Not the Best Quality
Comment: The product is reasonable quality. However I had to dissasemble several of the pre-assembled pieces to file/grind pieces of flashing to make the joints between the two bikes articulate as designed. Same for the telescoping "quick connect". I wish this was a little better designed and built.

Summary: Quality product and excellent value
Comment: I was going to buy a more expensive brand of bike trailer which I had previously tried, but decided instead on the WeeRide Co-Pilot because of the price. I am glad I did. I'm very pleased with the WeeRide Co-Pilot. It was simple to assemble and attach to my bicycle. My 5-year-old rides on the back very comfortably. It is well made, stable, solid and tracks behind my bike effortlessly. It is an excellent product.

Summary: Must have gotten two Lemons
Comment: After reading the previous reviews, we decided to order two of these for our 4 and 5 year olds. They arrived promptly and were easy to assemble. Problem is... I followed the instructions precisely but when I attached them to our adult bikes, they were both slewed to one side. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them to sit straight up and down. I changed them around from my bike to my wife's but neither one worked.
What we wound up doing is sending them back and went to our local Bike Shop and bought 2 Trek trailers. They made sure the trailers fit and worked perfectly with our bikes.
The only saving grace was Amazon... There was absolutely no hassle with returning the merchandise, no questions asked. I have been a steady customer of Amazon for a number of years and this was the first time I had to return something. I wasn't sure what would happen, but I was pleasantly suprised by the efficiency and quickness of the return process. My account was credited in no time. This type of service will keep me coming back and shopping with them for a long time. Beats driving to the Mall every time!
