Summary: simple tool, does the job
Comment: so far I have taken off 5 cranks (that's 10 crank arms), no problem.
Trying to do this job without a crank puller is a disaster.
One of the cranks I took off was covered with rust (inside and out). When I was taking it apart, the solid layer of rust ripped apart. Nevertheless, the tool took it off easily.

Comment: If you're seeking that perfect tool for removal of a cotterless crank,then this one is just right for you. It's sturdy and simple to use .Plus,it gets the job done very effectively. I had never changed bicycle bearings before and was leery about the process,but with the octalink crank puller the job went very smoothly ! And pricewise this is definitely a great bargain. Why spend that extra money on a tool when a less expensive one will do the job just as well !
