Comment: As a Lecturer of Beauty Therapy I can highly recommend this book as a thorough and knowledgeable reference guide both for planning lessons and for students following the City and Guilds NVQ3 Beauty Therapy path. I have met Lorraine Nordmann (an External Verifier for City and Guilds) whilst I was assessing students; and found her to be both exacting and well-informed. As with the Level 2 Beauty Therapy book written by the same author; this book matches the teaching standards perfectly and so is ideal for students and Lecturers alike. Again, there are clear learning objectives in all sections; and one particular outstanding feature is the `expanded treatment advice' to make the most of retail opportunities and the `timings of treatments' guidelines. Any lecturer of Beauty Therapy will understand that the importance of timing treatments; and that it is usually one of the hardest skills for students to initially master; but one that is essential to overcome if salon treatments are to become commercially viable and profitable.
