Customer Rating: Summary: A good stretch Comment: I am not an exercise person but know I need to do something to keep me supple and I found this perfect for me at 62 yrs. It is something I will realistically do nearly every day. It is gentle and very pleasant. You really feel the muscles being used but not in an exhausting way. Since I have been using this video I have never had a recurrence of my sore back that I got every six months or so.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good tape but not Tai Chi Comment: This is a really good tape, it gives key points, warm-up and exercises (which all make up for half an hours worthwile exercise). Then it is followed by meditation - which is good for 5-10 minutes in evening or stress-time, as well as chair meditation which is excellent if you are sitting in the office 8 hrs a day. However, this is not Tai Chi, it has similar movements and exercises that will surely help do the proper Tai Chi routine, but this should be spelled out clearly in the description.
Customer Rating: Summary: A good introduction to give the basics Comment: I enjoyed this video. It is mainly to give a taste of what Tai Chi is like. If you want something more comprehensive or advanced then this is not for you. The video is essentially split into two main sections - the Tai Chi stretches and meditation. Having done meditation before, I was impressed by this section. The Tai Chi itself could have been more expansive, but it does give a good overview to get you started.
Customer Rating: Summary: Enjoyable stretcjhes, but not Tai Chi Comment: I was looking forward to more Tai Chi exercises, but this is definitely only a stretch based video. Very good stretching, to be sure, but the segment at the end on meditation was almost too hokey for words. It was also a very short video, timewise. Enjoyable but fluff.
Customer Rating: Summary: A refreshing workout but not Tai Chi Comment: A nice workout with easy to follow instruction - I thought there would be more actual Tai Chi and Chi Gung moves but this is more of a dumbed down version. I was also slightly annoyed by the camera missing out the instructors feet at a crucial time. If you want to learn Tai Chi ChiKung then I would advise a more specific video. This is a great warm up and general all over body refresher.
